JUNE 2009

Now that June is upon us, the long Summer months between the Spring Feasts and the Fall Feasts have arrived. Thankfully, our recent commemoration of Shavuot, coupled with increased dedication and proclamation—sanctioning those who choose to receive the enabling fulfillment of the Holy Spirit—can empower the faithful onto greater service to the Lord during the next few months. It is our prayer that once again from Passover to Shavuot, you have been blessed with these annual rehearsals and recognize how these holy convocations are great opportunities to receive even greater intimacy with the Almighty! Now, in tune with His Spirit’s leading, we can all be even more useful in His Kingdom’s work, as we all head toward Yom Teruah/Rosh HaShanah and the other convocations for this Fall.

As a ministry, we have so many ongoing writing, editing, and publishing projects that our time is fully committed. We have several more books slotted for softcover publication this year, each of which is being properly edited and updated. Your continued support of our efforts is greatly appreciated!

Early this past May, our family attended John’s graduation from Asbury Theological Seminary. As you will read in my lead article, “Serving the Gospel,” the message communicated by the various commencement speakers had a profound impact on each of us. I, especially, was forced to think. With this experience still fresh in my mind, I have tried to encourage each of us to remember the good news of our first love. This is to be constantly reaffirmed in our hearts by sharing the good news of salvation with others—something that will always be one of our primary ministry objectives. Secondly, we are including a McHuey Blog posted last month that takes a little parental license and congratulates John for his accomplishments. Hopefully, both of these articles will convey the blessings we believe all should be inheriting, from those in the walk of faith who have proceeded us down through the centuries.

One new thing not to be forgotten is that we have just added a new feature to our Outreach Israel and TNN Online websites. Many of you have let us know that you are not able to receive our weekly e-mail updates and teachings, often due to various SPAM blockers, spyware and virus tools, etc. We have just included a new Newsfeed Ticker, where all of our updates will be posted on the top of the main page. So, if you are one of those unfortunate people who is often plagued by e-mail challenges, you can simply go to our websites to readily locate our weekly postings, and/or access them from the archives.
